We present the Anneliese Witt – Rafael Tur Costa Cultural Association. As a couple, they represent one of the most important chapters in 20th-century avant-garde culture and art on the island of Ibiza.

Anneliese Witt, com a pedagoga d’art i ceramista a escoles d’ensenyament bàsic ia través de la seva escola d’art Infantart van formar moltes generacions de joves en la sensibilitat envers les arts plàstiques en totes les disciplines. Rafael Tur Costa com a primer pintor abstracte de les Illes Balears amb una obra reconeguda a nivell balear tant com a nivell nacional i internacional.

Cultural Witt Tur Costa pretén articular la contemporaneïtat amb què ha de romandre, i impulsar la cultura del futur a Eivissa dotant-la de significat, qualitat, sostenibilitat i responsabilitat, preservant els valors propis eivissencs. El projecte recupera i amplia the space creatiu i vivencial de Witt i Tur Costa al voltant de casa seva, que forma part de la cultura eivissenca per haver estat dissenyada ad hoc per Erwin Broner.

Preservació, divulgació i investigació permanent sobre l’obra de la pedagoga i ceramista Anneliese Witt i el pintor Rafael Tur Costa com a un dels principals artistes de l’avantguarda del segle XX a Espanya.

Activation of the organization as a place for study and research, exchange of ideas and reflections linked to art, architecture, territory, the environment, and the natural and human landscape of the Balearic Islands.

Participate in the necessary debate in the current context of the ecosocial crisis. Bring together voices from the arts and humanities to contribute new narratives that inspire the transition toward new models of coexistence.

Offer training in art, crafts, permaculture, appropriate technology, regenerative agriculture and all those methodologies that help us strengthen our communities and make them more resilient.

Promote the conservation and improvement of our culture, landscape, and environmental and economic wealth. To achieve these objectives, links will be established with other organizations and institutions, and a program will be developed to take place at its headquarters or in different locations.

We seek the involvement of citizens, associations and groups with whom we weave a human network that helps us sustain, pristine, the web of life.

· Conservation, management and dissemination of the work of Anneliese Witt and Rafael Tur Costa as leading figures of the 20th-century avant-garde in Spain.

· Cataloguing, preservation of the association’s own collection, relations with private collections and location of sold works.

· Ongoing relationship with museums and galleries.

· Ongoing research into the work of Anneliese Witt and Rafael Tur Costa.

· Publications: the association’s own publications and supervision of external ones.

THE TUR COSTA STUDIO Es concep com una galeria d’art amb un programa anual d’almenys quatre exposicions anuals d’artistes d’avantguarda que s’alineïn en les propostes a l’estètica i la filosofia del projecte general.

CULTURAL WITT – TUR COSTA, al foment i la difusió de l’art i la cultura a Eivissa al segle XXI, amb una programació cultural que mantingui una estreta relació amb la ciutadania i la col·lectivitat, una interrelació dinàmica que expliqui l’art contemporani vivencialment i més allà dels esquemes habituals
